The title says it all... We booked a date for our wedding!
Having been engaged for 2 years, we felt that now may be the right time to start looking at wedding venues. After searching for many venues in my local area of Bedfordshire, I found a place that looked so stunning and different to all the rest. A couple of my friends married last year, one shown in THIS blog post, so I was already aware of some venues in Bedfordshire.
Me and Glenn booked a viewing at the venue and had a look around. As soon as we arrived I was instantly taken back by the stunning grounds and immaculate rooms. There was a wedding taking place on the day that we were looking around which gave us such a good feel for what it would be like on the day. We were hoping to find a venue where we could get married as well as have the evening reception, so this place certainly ticked all the boxes. We were given a booklet to take away with us and read, after being asked if we would like to set a date. At this point, it was the first venue we had looked at so decided to look at a few more venues.
Having looked at some more venues and not finding anything that came close to how much we loved the first venue, we decided to book! Eeeeek!!
We are now in the process of booking everything else that comes with getting married... photographer, florist etc. I am totally enjoying booking everything and making plans.
I cannot wait for our summer wedding in 2018.
Is anyone in the same boat as me and feeling like there is a million and one things to do?!
